33.25"X34.25" UV Reactive Neo-DNA Decagram w/Geode Center Tie Dye on a Tapestry* I made by Hemming (cotton thread was used) around a Piece of Robert Kaufman Kona Cotton that was dyed using the "Pariah Method": The item was not presoaked in Soda Ash solution. The Procion Dyes (UV Dye Statement Place somewhere in the description statement: This piece was dyed, in part, using the only dye that is both UV Reactive and Fiber Reactive. Remazol Luminous Yellow FL AKA Psychedelic Sunshine. A Vinyl Sulfone reactive dye. Great effects in blacklight!) were applied to the tied-up tapestry and then a strong soda ash solution was applied after the dye was applied. It was then "batched" as normal for 48 hours before washout. This one has a glow in the dark HTV Dave's Dyes ambigram logo ironed on near the bottom hem. I also Added Metal Grommets to All 4 Corners After Dyeing for Hanging. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Wash with like colors in cold water for first few washes.
There are many more photos and a reel coming soon over on my social media accounts. Give me a follow @davesdyes
Note, the measurements are approximate taken from the center of the vertical and horizontal after the dyeing process was completed. The fact that this is cotton, which is prone to shrinking, it is not a prefect square after being washed.
*This is part of my experiment to find the best fabric for tapestries after way too much frustration with the pre-made cotton tapestries currently available. This one really took the dye well. Stay tuned for some different fabrics in the future.
