~104"X102" Super Heady UV Reactive from center: Octagon->24 Point Mandala->Geodes->Neo-DNA {12/3} Dodecagram Border Tie Dye on a Tapestry I made from Combed Cotton PFD Fabric that I Hemmed Around all 4 Edges using Cotton Thread. Tapestry was dyed using the "Pariah Method": The item was not presoaked in Soda Ash solution. The Procion Dyes (This piece was dyed, in part, using the only dye that is both UV Reactive and Fiber Reactive. Remazol Luminous Yellow FL AKA Psychedelic Sunshine. A Vinyl Sulfone reactive dye. Great effects in blacklight!) were applied to the tied-up tapestry and then a strong soda ash solution was applied after the dye was applied. It was then "batched" as normal for 48 hours before washout. This one has a glow in the dark HTV Dave's Dyes ambigram logo ironed on above the bottom hem. Due to it's large size I added metal grommets to all 4 corners plus the center of each side for secure hanging. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Wash with like colors in cold water for first few washes.

*This is part of my experiment to find the best fabric for tapestries after way too much frustration with the pre-made cotton tapestries currently available. This is Combed Cotton PFD. It took the dye great! Fabric was purchased from Dharma Trading Company. Make sure you measure your walls for this one. Measurements are approximate measured from the center each way after the dyeing process was completed. The fact that this is cotton, which is prone to shrinking, it is not a prefect square after being washed.

This piece of tie dye artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity, printed on quality parchment paper for certificates, by default from Dave's Dyes. From now on (starting 5/11/25), any newly created item priced at $150 or greater, will include a certificate of authenticity which will have information about the work, a photograph (at least one) of the piece and will have a unique identifier that will be written somewhere on the art with archival quality ink and will match the identifier on the certificate. Both will also include the artist's signature. Certificates of Authenticity are also available for work done prior and for items marked at lower than $150, upon request.
