84"X84" (measurements prior to any shrinkage) Glitch Tie Dye on a Third Eye Tapestry w/ Hanging Loops and Black Threads along the Hems that was dyed using the "Pariah Method": The item was not presoaked in Soda Ash solution. The Procion Dyes were applied to the tied-up tapestry and then a strong soda ash solution was applied after the dye was applied. UV Reactive iDye Flourescent Yellow was used in Combinatiion w/ the Procion Fiber Reactive Dyes to Create a Cool Blacklight Effect* It was then "batched" as normal for 48 hours before washout. This one has a glow in the dark HTV Dave's Dyes ambigram logo ironed on to the bottom hem. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Wash with like colors in cold water for first few washes.".
* While iDye is an actual dye, it isn't fiber reactive like Procion dyes, so it may not have the same colorfastness as the Procion Dyes. That's why I prefer not to use it on things that will be laundered frequently. I am looking into importing a few kilos of a truly UV and fiber reactive dye called Remazol Luminous Yellow FL. If I do obtain some, I will probably break it into small lots to sell. Stay tuned!
I only have a little 16" blacklight that I used to get the photos. You'd probably want a bigger one for this.
I'll be putting together a reel with more pics and video clips later today to post on my socials.
